Super Easy Slow Cooker Beef Stew

I am always looking for inexpensive, but delicious recipes and with the wintry weather I wanted to cook up something hearty and warm. I searched for a long time for a great slow cooker beef stew recipe and ended up having to tailor a few to get a good balance.

Here is my recipe for delicious slow cooker beef stew:

1 - 2 lbs. of Stew Meat (depending on the size of your slow cooker and how meaty you want it to be)
1/2 cup of flour
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper
32 oz. Beef Broth
3-4 Carrots cut into pieces
4-5 Broccoli Crowns cut into pieces
1 can whole potatoes drained and cut into pieces
1 pack McCormick Beef Stew Seasoning
2 tsbp. Worcestershire Sauce
3 Bay Leaves

Begin by tossing the stew meat in the flour, salt, and black pepper and put in the crock pot.

Add the vegetables (you can substitute other vegetables if you wish), broth, stew seasoning, and Worcestershire Sauce. Stir the mixture. Then toss in the Bay leaves. Set your slow cooker to the appropriate cooking time (I have found the most flavorful stews come from 6-10 hours). Every 2 hours stir the stew to be sure nothing is sticking to the sides, but otherwise try not to open the cooker too much (even though it will smell delicious).

This makes about 4 large bowls worth of stew. Perfect meal for just me and my hubby. If you have a bigger crockpot you could double the recipe, but mine is on the smaller side.

If you make any interesting variations please comment and let me know!

Enjoy!!!

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
